genuine q—how are you able to drink anything from starbucks with celiac? our cross contamination is so bad, is there a specific way you rinse/clean blenders when you make your own drinks?

So I have a really severe case of celiac where my reactions to being contaminated are really bad but I’m lucky in that cross contamination has never caused a reaction for me but the DCC is just something I’ve always been able to have (w/o the cookie crumble ofc lol)

1.) That's not what gatekeeping is
2.) SEVERE celiacs is you having a reaction when gluten even comes in contact with what you're eating. If eating straight up gluten doesn't give you a reaction then....

(Maybe when you order, specify that you don’t want toppings on there? I don’t think people automatically think about food sensitivities and are just trying to make the drink pretty)

Tbh ur right but I just hate announcing my allergies literally everywhere I go so when I know there’s something I can 100% have I just don’t say anything to be less complicated but clearly in this case that works against me 😂

it isn’t dramatic but you need to tell the baristas because someone’s making it incorrectly and they need to look at the recipe cards. that frap doesn’t come with crumbles

Ngl I get the chocolate cookie crumble and double chocolate chip mixed up all the time and idky I’ve worked there 2 years now but honestly don’t be scared to ask us to remake it. It’s not that big of a deal and we really don’t mind if it’s our fault and definitely w the allergy

Tbh it’s a very easy mistake to make! I don’t mean to sound like baristas can’t make mistakes or misunderstand the recipe (Ik I certainly have done both!) I think it’s just the attitude I received at the place when I explained I couldn’t have the drink even tho I did not expect them to remake it at all since they were slammed lol

Double chocolate chip fraps come with cookie crumble toppings though.. am i wrong?
-Mocha cookie crumble gets cookie toppings
-Double chocolatey chip (which is a cream based version of a mocha cookie crumble) get cookie crumble toppings

Its standard. Just get a java chip with extra whip.

you're wrong- the cream version of the mocha cookie crumble is the chocolate cookie crumble. double chocolaty chip is the cream version of the java chip
