Try to think about some of the questions the manager might ask ahead of time. When I had my interview it was mainly my manager asking what I would do in certain scenarios. Prepare for them to ask you how you would deal with an upset customer, how you’d deal with a coworker (fellow partner) who is not following standards, what your strengths are, etc. I found it really helpful in my interview to casually slip in Starbucks’ mission statement: “To inspire and nurture the human spirit — one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” This will show that you have prepared especially well for the interview and understand the values associated with being a Sbux partner. I hope this helps! Update on how it goes!

Thank you so much for your comment. It was so helpful. I just finished my interview 5 mins ago, tbh idk if I did well, like I did good at the beginning, but I kinda messed up on 2 questions. And I was kinda awkward but I was trying to be outgoing. But they said my availability might not fit their needs I'll update you later today if I get a call back. She said she'll know me later today if I did get it. But I'm not so sure if I got the job.

Be positive! Think about examples from previous jobs where you solved a problem, taught someone a new skill, dealt with a difficult customer, or figured out a problem with a team. They will ask you about your past, what your doing now, and your plans for the future. I feel like they are really looking for out going people who love to talk because they want someone who connects with customers well. GOOD LUCK!

Be upbeat & lively. It's more about personality than past experience. And talk about how you love connecting with people.

I was a nervous wreck going into my interview. I hadn't worked any job in 12+ years. No real coffee experience. And no restraunt type experience. I'm an Army Veteran and a trained chef. I had VERY limited hours due to being a single mom. I cannot work more than 16 hours a week. And I fumbled words and was ahot mess. But I was hired on the spot. I started orientation yesterday!

You're very lucky Missy, congrats 👏. Unfortunately I don't think I was as lucky
