submitted by Hippieinblack6
I was hired October 13th in 2020. Am I getting a raise on August 1st?? I'm very confused on what's happening.

if you stayed with the company, never left, or left and came back before 02 may 2022, then yes you will

What if you recently got hired? Does that still apply to you or no? Or do i have to wait until probation is over?
persona-2 2 points 11m ago
Everyone will be at $15 an hour august 1st. If your under that you will be moved up regardless of when you were hired.

then why does everyone keep mentioning may 2nd. if everyone is getting the raise why is may 2nd significant at all? sorry i’m just really confused because everyone is saying something different.

On august first, corporate wide minimum wage is being raised to $15/hour.

If you were hired on or before May 2nd, then you will get a raise to $15 OR 3% increase, whichever is higher. (That percentage changes too if you’ve been employed longer)

If you were hired after may 2nd and already make $15 or more, you will not be getting any raise

You get an extra 3% if you were hired before may 2nd for a lot of locations.

I've been on maternity leave. Does that count?
waterdropss 5 points 11m ago
i can’t say for sure because i don’t know the rules on maternity leave but if you didn’t physically quit your job, i would assume you’d still get it. Still check with your manager though! I’m sure it’d be a yes
persona-2 2 points 11m ago
Yes. As long as it’s an approved LOA you still will have it count.

does this only include corporate stores?
dazedandconfusedhere 1 points 11m ago
Yes. Pay and raises at licensed stores are up to the individual employer
