It is meant to be done after the store closes. Our RM came in last fall and sat down with the shifts and walked us through what we were doing wrong. It’s impossible to do everything you need to while the store is open.

I lead our clean plays for our store now, it’s two hours after close and there’s three of us. We plug in our phones and have a Spotify playlist combined between the three of us and we just go ham. I honestly look forward to it most weeks now.

We work to knock out as many items as possible during open hours (drink caddys, fridges, drains, etc.), usually this falls to CSR, only 2 peeps stay past close to do thing that cannot be done while open (boh frigdes+freezers, sani machine espresso hoppers)

we do it after close for two hours.

We do it while we are open. 1 person for 4.5 hours one day, a different person to do deck brush ALL the floors the next day for 4.5 hours.

My store broke up alot of the clean play tasks to do through out the week. We clean a urn a day with the urnex instead of all at once, we clean a mat everyday of the week and have certain days we clean certain hoopers. We do high touch dusting on Sunday morning while its slow. We still have clean play on wednesday after close but it takes way less time now and less people

Our SM has been scheduling 3 ppl for it. One person starts a couple hours before we’d normally walk out the door and two others join for the two hours extra after close we use.

my store has 2 baristas and one shift stay for 2 hours after close once a week for it

Generally 3 people. We do most of it after close. Sometimes our sm schedules outside tasks during the day when it get dark early. Like cleaning mats and picking up garbage in the drive thru.

We do an hour and a half at night on Tuesday with 3 people and most of the time we start of stuff during the day. Some of the stuff we do during the week so we don’t do it on clean play cuz we have a schedule during the week. Usually we are able to finish both pages in that time

In our store we have 6 hours of labour for clean play. Someone comes in 4 hours before close as non-cov and does the majority of it, then they and the other 3 partners (shift and 2 baristas) have half an hour to finish off the list.

At my old store it used to be 2 hours per partner (3 partners) after close. Same store manager so I am assuming that it was suggested to do it differently in our area.

they do it while the store is open and, don't get me wrong, i appreciate the clean play people. but when theres a little bit of a line and you need to make drinks, it doesn't help when they have the fridge pulled out in the middle of the floor and you have to like climb over it. i understand they don't want to stay until 10 pm so they do it when the store is still open but it's just so annoying to work around and most of the time it is nearly impossible to work around them.

A main part of our team is minors, so our store operates while we’re open. 3 people, scheduled 3 hours but we usually are all done after 2. There are a few tasks that are done that day that we don’t need to worry about like fully cleaning the pumps, doing the floors, etc. but we end up almost everything else. We also make a list in order of priority in case there’s things we don’t get done
