Since venti iced drinks gets 3 shots by standard you can do 2 decaf espresso + 1 regular espresso to get 2/3 decaf

Sometimes 2/3 decaf won't be possible: for example, 2/3 decaf for 1 shot (we can do full caf or half caf with the 1/2 button). In those cases, you can explain to the customer their options, or if they already ordered (e.g. mobile) I'll usually opt to do the closest ratio that errs on the side of more decaf (to avoid giving more caffeine than requested) while also trying to let the customer know

How do people feel when someone orders a 1/3 decaf on a 2 shot drink? I get the feeling that people just do that for a “free extra shot”…thoughts?

This applies to shots that come in 3s. So 1 shot caf and 2 shots decaf. If the drink has 6 shots, it would be 2 shots caf and 4 shots decaf. I wouldn’t be bothered with this request too much and just do 1/2 decaf is good enough.
