i am literally so done with customers. this lady ordered an iced americano upside down with no ice and my coworker accidentally put the shots first and then water. i was the one who handed it out and she let it sit there after i called it out and then said smth along the lines of asking me about the shots and how they were put in. i answered and she started condescendingly talking down to me about how to make it, acting like i was the dumbest person on the planet. then she proceeded to half yell at me like a stubborn 2 year old how she refused to drink it and i MUST remake it the right way. first of all, customers really don’t know what they’re ordering cause wtf is appealing about an americano upside down. second, after i poured the shots over the water, it looked exactly the same as it had when the shots were added first. third, if it’s such a huge issue, just get 3 shots and a cup of water with no ice and do it yourself for christs sake. half of me wanted to cry and the other half of me wanted to give her attitude back. why are people so rude??? like hellooooo. and she even was watching my coworker make her drink wrong and didn’t say anything. honestly i think it was just her excuse to yell at someone jfc tho. every bone in my body was screaming in frustration.

also, i love our regulars at my store but there’s this one regular who kind of makes me feel bad. they’re really nice but they keep asking if i’ve “practiced my spanish” and says to my coworkers that i “don’t look like id speak spanish” and it makes me feel so shitty, esp after i’ve told them that i am a native speaker. at this point, it feels like a micro aggression and i know i look more white than latina but it makes me feel so belittled as a latina woman. like my identity is not valid because i don’t look like a “typical latina,” if there even is a typical latina because latin america is so diverse in terms of appearance.
