apparently if you request of TWO DAYS in the same week, you'll only get scheduled for TWO DAYS.

On the plus side itβs an average of 20 hours a week, doesnβt help pay your bills but maybe will take the edge off the school worry!

i know about the average and the audit but it being an average only works if one week I'm scheduled less than 20 hours and then another week I'm scheduled more than 20 ....
I'm consistently getting less than 20.
I'm already behind on my bills. and I live with bigoted family. the whole point of a fucking job and of fucking school is to fucking make a livable wage and leave this shit hole behind. but it doesn't fucking matter how hard I fucking try because there's always someone there fucking things up for me , getting in my way, fucking me over, keeping me from fucking accomplishing anything. I'm so fucking done.

I donβt blame you in the least! I asked for 3 days off next week and got 0 hours. Thankfully I start a new job and take Starbucks to weekends only soon. I gave up trying to even get to 20 hours a week for benefits because I was never scheduled enough. I hope you can pick up some shifts or something so it works out for you! π

I'm literally applying for jobs right now lol. Like at this point I might as well work something else that hopefully makes more... and just go back to the community college and pay for an associates degree. I'm halfway to it anyway and I don't think a majority of my credits are transferring to ASU so I'd be starting all over again anyway and idk if I can survive 4+ years in this house. Maybe if I had a sure direction of a career to choose and work towards, but I don't. Sorry I think I'm rambling at this point but I am just very upset and disappointed with Starbucks.

You could ask your fellow partners if they are interested in giving up any of their shifts! Also you could try to pick up shifts at other stores. Speak to your manager if you havenβt and let them know how important being scheduled for x amount of hours is.
