Are the guidelines for choosing Partner Of The Quarter somewhere on the Hub or the store iPad? (self.starbucksbaristas)

basically- everyone in the store nominates a partner and then the store manager picks. a lot of managers will just run it as if the nominations are votes so the person with the most wins.

Yeah that’s how it’s been done at all of my previous stores but the store I’m at now seems to do it very differently. Someone just got partner of the quarter but not one person out of the 7 or more people I asked had been asked to vote. None of us even knew about it until yesterday when we heard who got picked. I think the SM just picked someone they like.

technically that's allowed- no one's required to nominate and it is just a nomination... not a vote

Do they work a different day park then you? Stores open 18+ hours a day will have some partners that rarely or never see each other. A 12 hour a week late night closer might only see the same 4 ish partners. If all 4 partners vote for that person it could outweigh more the votes a 40 hour a week peak partner gets.
