does anyone think this doesn’t have something to do with the pay raise?? i think it’s quite obvious, but that’s just me..

Ask to be borrowed at near by stores to pick up shifts. Although, you have to get to know a whole new store, but it’s worth it once they’re used to you. And you’re able to pick up extra shifts.

that’s what i think i’ll have to do
FLMFGGT 7 points 11m ago
Yes absolutely i think it’s that plus they’re trying to make things so much worse so unionized stores can’t bargain for as much. Make it awful to work here and suddenly the middle ground in a bargaining agreement becomes “oh well we can give you better hours and coverage” and they just make it what it used to be before this whole year of hour cuts

they’re only gonna push more stores to unionize faster by doing shit like this. i don’t get it

Man I wish they gave me less
fuwaldah -20 points 11m ago
A manager will not give you less hours because you got a raise

Like hell they won’t lmfao

I know people on here think that's how SMs write schedules, but it's not.
HiiAlberta 9 points 11m ago
They unfortunately may not be budgeted enough labour hours, which most likely will be because of the raises
fuwaldah -13 points 11m ago
That isn't how labor works.
overturned23 1 points 11m ago
You have no idea how labor works. Labor comes from corporate. The SM has no control over how many hours they’re allowed to schedule, neither does the DM. The SM only gets to control how they distribute the hours, not how much they get
fuwaldah 1 points 11m ago
I understand that. I never said otherwise... I simply pointed out that partner wages don't impact labor. At all.

a sbux manager does not control labor hours, corporate does.
fuwaldah 0 points 11m ago
Right. And it has no connection to salaries of the store partners.
clouds183 1 points 11m ago
salaries? we are hourly we don’t have salaries, I’m confused. but also if you think its not related, you might wanna think again. it’s also related to the uprising of unions. they’re making conditions worse so unions have less to bargain for, and the middle ground becomes what it used to be.
fuwaldah -1 points 11m ago
That's just not true. It's not logical.
