I am SO tired of them.
The biggest problem is that customers will say some silly name for it and I won’t know what the hell they’re referring to, and politely explain that. They’ll proceed to throw a fit and say “It’s on your secret menu.”

it’s literally a dragon drink/paradise drink both blended just put in the same cup. People come up with the most outrageous crap. also, does anyone else hate when you’re taking someone’s order on DT and you repeat it back to them and they try to correct you. 😂 legit it will be like “okay so one tall iced white mocha?” “No I said white chocolate mocha” .. “right, the iced white mocha” like 🤨 idk man. Sorry guys im new to Reddit and also a Starbucks barista, so I’m kind of over sharing stuff. But one night my store ran out of venti iced cups and Trenta cups, and this car orders and I tell them right away that were out of venti and trenta.. so she legit says “so you don’t have venti?” No. “What about the bigger one” im out of trenta also.. 😂😂 JFC.

My favorite is when they order a tik tok drink then want to cancel the order because its a $15 drink

I just don’t get the mindset they have that we’d know all of these lol. Like when I clock out I don’t look up Starbucks or Starbucks secret menu on TikTok and memorize the drinks, I’m not being paid to work for them after all. If you want to show me a recipe for it, sure I’ll do it for you, but I’m not researching on my time lol. I have one coworker who knows most of these though, so I’ll hand the confusion over to them so they could translate it.

And then they ask for these drinks during rush on top of it all. You’re literally making 3 drinks separately just to make one of these abominations and then they get angry if it doesn’t look Tik Tok worthy.

Had a customer order a summer shake up me and my partner were so confused but it was just a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso

especially when they assume you know exactly what it is and they don’t even know how to order it😭 like i have never seen such a monstrosity in my LIFE

They're fun when we're dead and the customer understands that their drink is going to be expensive. But in a rush and they don't want to pay $13 for it, I hate them.

And then 90% of the time, the bottom of the caption reads some grammatically incorrect cringe shit like:

“…your welcome 💅💁🏼‍♀️”

Gtfo out of my store with your basic trendy bullshit.

Some guy came in to day and ordered by showing me a tik tok comment and made me type in the recipe.🙄

Bro-ristas do it too though, posting their creations here, TT, and elsewhere only contributes to the nonsense. It’s just a part of life at this point that your going to make -insert hype of the time- Frappuccino for someone else’s post that makes the crap more contagious for people to order. Starbucks should just eliminate their drink menu and just embrace a subway/chipotle style long bar area with sections catered to drink style/ syrups/ coffee/ toppings, so customers can get buck wild themselves and dilute the trend until it’s no longer of interest.

Can’t stand the drinks? Shit I can’t stand this job. The only thing keeping me here is the college.

Someone needs to make a Tik Tok telling everyone that there is no such thing as a secret menu, it’s just something an influencer made up, and that half the stupid TT drinks are all recipes made up by someone at one point. They aren’t anything we normally make and to stop asking for them unless they know the way they are made. I know this makes me so irritated to have to make these stupid drinks. I had a girl ask me for a mango drink with strawberry Acai on top. She wanted the sunrise drink obviously because it didn’t sit on the top of the drink like the passion tea does. She was so upset and said “this is supposed to be a sunrise drink and it doesn’t look at all like it” so I told her SHE chose the ingredients and SHE asked for strawberry açai on top and it’s not my fault it mixed into her drink. This is the problem with these stupid ass drinks.

I don’t mind making these. Ringing them gets annoying, especially when people don’t understand how to order them. But what’s even worse is how IG CONSTANTLY advertises these stupid videos to me. I wish on IG we could block words like we can on Twitter because these videos, plus the baristas filming themselves being like “you gotta try this!” Literally drive me insane.
My least favorite lately has been some basic drinks and the person is like “HOW TO ORDER: Can I get a venti cold brew with 2 pumps vanilla and salted caramel foam with caramel drizzle” like, please stop being desperate for views and likes 🤕

When it's the little kids I feel bad so I out together some recipe in my head and tell them next time to show a pic of the sticker if they like it lol

It’s actually making me crazy and stupid. Yesterday this very polite and soft spoken 12 year old girl asks for a grande Pink Drink with MADELINE on it. Madeline on it, I ask with a confused look on my face. She repeats the entire order. I’m trying to figure out if she wants a.cookie in her drink! Her mom comes over and saves the day: “ her name is Madelyn and she wants to see it written on the cup!”

I worked in a really busy road services. When Starbucks release drinks with so many elements they do t think about the time it takes when you have to pump out hundreds of drinks an hour.

Some I’ve gotten recently were; a “Drumstick” (as in the ice cream) Frappuccino, a “Stranger Things” Frappuccino, and an “Ice Cream Sundae” Frappuccino. Why do they do this to us? Why can’t you just be normal and order a Caramel Ribbon Crunch or something?? 🙄
