I was fired from a licensed store and I’m gonna pull a Snitch 9ine (self.starbucksbaristas)

I just know the manager was waiting to fire me. Well, they finally got me. And without warning. No I’m out of a job with no immediate way to make money. I heard about this dude that made money from whistleblowing over Osha violations. I was just wondering if I could do something like that. There is no soap in the kiosk, so nobody washes their hands. Sanitizer is non-existent. The manager even sells day-old pastries to customers. Even worse, nobody there has a food safety manager certification but me. Is there somewhere I can report this that would compensate me?

I don’t wanna be too harsh but it’s insane and absolutely disgusting that you would willingly serve customers without any place to wash your hands. You didn’t mention if you escalated this issue to anyone and/or documented it anywhere. If you knew these issues were happening, why didn’t you step up earlier and report this to OSHA before getting fired?
Best you can do here is obviously file a complaint with OSHA and hope they investigate in a timely manner. Since you were fired before filing anything, I’m not entirely sure if you’ll be compensated but if things do go your way, you will have to go to court and perhaps see some compensation there. I hadn’t reported anything because I was friends with the manager before but they switched up in me after hiring their actual friends

I have no documentation but the proof is in the kiosk. There is no soap in the only hand wash sink they have. I’ll submit a complaint asap before they can restock to get that bag lmao

All that will prove is that there is currently no soap, not that there has never been soap.

Yeah you’re right. I looked up the details and I need proof. What I do have, is a picture of mold under the cold foam pitcher, and messages of her disinterest in cleaning and continuing to use it. Is that damning enough?

If I remember correctly, there’s a union you could have signed up for with the grocery store and they would have help you.
