How do y’all hold your concentration when paring tills and people are talking around/to you? I got distracted and accidentally swapped out the wrong change from the safe, thankfully it was caught by my night shift.

When my SSVs need to do tills without distraction they bring them to the back desk. The only time they do them on the floor is before we open or after we close and we just don’t talk to them during it. For the pre-close tills though they’re in the back

Eh. My store’s baristas are…very much leaning and chit chatting when we’re slow. I miss the days of daily QASAs.

I usually pick up the till and the counter and turn around and do it in front of our brewers. With my back turned, fewer people attempt to speak to me.
