Been through a lot of managers and this one was definitely the best! What made her better the rest was her attention to detail for each and every partners needs and wants. She always put our needs before her own self care and family even though we would always tell her not too.
She started as a barista at my store. Got transferred around to become an asm and came back to us as a manager. She was an outside hire.
Our store is a pretty solid operational store so they are moving her to a store that is a disaster to turn it around.
She tells me the partners at the new store are scared and mad and think she is going to micro manage them to hell. Makes me want to stop in there to let them know what an all star she is and will be a great asset to the store.
She assures us the new manager is a lot like her, we have yet to experience much from her as she has been just getting her feet wet with admin stuff.
The positive side is I only work 4 hours a day so it doesn't affect me as much as other said partners.

Good luck to them. Not sure you going in and saying something will help. There's a possibility that a big part of the problem might be baristas that have been disregarding standards for a long time and anything that isn't them doing what they want when they want it is "micromanaging". We had a shift get promoted to store manager and when he coached one partner on his first day over something really minor, half the people there walked out. He lost over 60% of his team the first week.
