SBUCKS SUCKS (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Same-Response2109
So the REgional manager came for like re-training everyone and see how everyone works. said that people on mobile bar now must walk their mobiles all the way to the other side of the bar/store :-) & why is that concerning and infuriating?Bc our store is a busy store & people on bar usually get SLAMMED and Can almost keep up but to now make us waste time and take drinks too? Like f U. Wants everyone beside custo to stay planted in their place 2nd, warming people now must STAY there not move. But what if the customers ask for a water, or even to restock URGENTLY…NO.. Now they must ask customer support to go and get them more things as if custo doesn’t already have a million tasks. I HATE IT HERE and regional managers are literally the most money greedy people in the world.

Lighten up you silly goose!
It’s not because just that they’re a regional manager that they’re trying to keep you guys in order. This is Starbucks Standard for ALL stores, busy or not, and yes, it would help you guys be faster.

All positions also have tasks cards that they can do specifically for that position when they’re not busy. The warming person when not busy has the responsibility to restock their fridges with the thawed food and their warming station, and to rotate food.

The customer support should be good enough that they’re completing their cycled routine and can adhere to your guys needs. When you do have a pause at cafe/mobile/drivebar, you can restock. That’s one of your secondary tasks.

Be grateful when you’re put on a position, that’s all your going to be expected to do (alongside those secondary tasks for that specific position). It’s a lot more common that things don’t get fucked up when people don’t interrupt with other peoples positions or are always walking behind and around them, and when things do get fucked up, it’s easier to have that person hold accountability and have it fixed so that it doesn’t happen the next time they’re on that position.

I mean that’s your routine though, that’s part of communication between team members. That’s especially during peak. It actually helps to stay planted because you’re getting things out quickly.
