CR updated standard (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by throwaway1209340987
I was just wondering if someone could clarify the standard for the “line the cup” CR button (I can’t remember if that’s what it’s even called).

If someone wants caramel drizzle on the top and bottom, would you put extra CR and an “ask me” for top & bottom, or would you use the “line the cup” button? Where can I find the actual standard?

I laugh about this all the time. “Line the cup” for me was a waste of time introducing. We’ve done extra caramel as all around the cup and on top as a practice for decades. Since it states that “Line the cup” is literally 3 swirls around the cup I use it for those who want light handed extra caramel. I believe it was on a weekly update before we launched Summer. You should be able to finding it in the Summer training on the iPad as well.

Thanks! I just came back after a little over a year being gone and there are a few things that have changed like this, and when I ask baristas the answer tends to be something like, “Well I don’t know how we’re /supposed/ to do it, but this is how /I/ do it.” Which is not super helpful! 😂

Extra caramel means more on top

Line the cup is three rings around the cup

You can put both modifiers on the same drink, so if someone wants drizzle on top and around the cup you’d say caramel drizzle + line cup caramel

If they want extra on top only, extra caramel drizzle

Extra on top and around the cup, extra caramel drizzle + line cup caramel

Just around the cup, line cup caramel

They didn’t want any of those options, they just wanted caramel on top and bottom.

I think the actual standard is two times around the cup for t/g and three for v/t and for top and bottom you’d probably do what you said, the CR button is for sides only

I figured that this was the case, thank you!
