COVID policy? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Latter-Guava-4734
So a family member of mine tested positive this morning, I’m feeling pretty okay so far and the test says that my family doesn’t have to test until 8/6. Last I heard we didn’t have to isolate unless we were the ones who tested positive, but I just want to make sure I’m going about this right. I have some mild symptoms (headache, dry throat) but was thinking they were more so just a cold or dehydration. I’m going to take a test soon anyway to check, but I just want to know what the policy is and if I should still mention it when I go in for my next shift.

talk to your manager first, but i recently had something happen and i believe that starbucks is just following cdc guidance.

wear a mask for 10 days, test on day 5. if you develop symptoms isolate and get tested immediately. if you test positive isolate and mask for 5 days AND 48 hrs no fever, the. wear a mask for an additional 5 days.

your manager will give you more details though and if you are sick talk to you about sick leave and covid pay and atuff

Check with your manager asap. They should always have the current policy.

My boyfriend tested positive a few days ago and I notified my sm and she said to work all my shifts unless I develop symptoms and test positive. She said I have to wear a mask 10 days after initial exposure. Even if we live in the same household as long I don’t test positive or feel sick she said to work my shifts.
