this older lady yesterday asked for five shots in a trenta cup over ice and filled the rest of the way with milk. when we explained we can’t do that and how that’s a latte she got very upset. she said that the woman that owns this starbucks told her to order it that way (there’s never been a woman in charge at our store). we told her that’s not up to standards and that we could give her an iced venti five shot latte. she left the drive thru…

At least she left lol. I would’ve offered to get the manager (who I’m assuming is not a woman based on your post), sat back and enjoyed seeing her get flustered when he came over. I wish we were allowed to call customers on their bullshit more.

Oh I just stay low-key when they bull crap me.
Once had a lady come through my drive thru for a remake. Per my managers instructions I explained we just ran out of one of the components to make the drink but we would be happy to make her something else. As I was handing it out I asked if she got the drink at this store and she said yes. I told her how funny that was considering we ran out of that product about 2 hours ago.
Seriously who waits at least 2 hours to decide they want to leave work and get a remake of their coffee????

Lmao they use any line they could. Like theyre trying theyre hardest to get u to do it their way even tho it breaks standards so theyll come up with ridiculous shit and be like "well the other starbucks does it..." Or they say "i kno the manager here!" Or "my son/daughter works with starbucks" etc... Lol still guna be a nope🤗

sooo many people are trying to get cheap "lattes" by doing iced espressos now. i hate getting them just cus i know chances are im gonna get complaints abt the cup not being full. and im not gonna fill it cus its not standard and im probably gonna get yelled at again 💀 my only exception is if they want more ice. like yes gladly. but im not gonna stop doing standard cus its the new trend to try to hack the system when there are still loyal customers who want the standard

Starting my work life as a buzzer/bar back/server for an independent small town restaurant spoiled me
“Oh you know the owner? I’m baby sitting his kids tonight, would you like me to let him know you say hi? Or I can text him now.”
Our bartender (a badass probably 35~38 year old woman with quite frankly one of the largest bust sizes I’ve ever seen. I only mention to say that she was often dismissed because of this, and she had a *perfect* ‘actually I am the manager and I will set the the tone of this conversation’.). Some guy argued with her over trying to buy a drink for his very obviously teenage date. He was middle aged and no way she was above 18 and a day. He was claiming she was his daughter, which is legal to serve in Texas. So we asked for license and they gave it but their names didn’t match. Maiden name blah blah blah. So we ask for a freaking birth certificate. Obviously they don’t have it. I was just a busboy at the time, and a few minutes later saw the guy walking from the inside bar to his seat outside, with two mixed drinks (that each had 4 shots and were meant to be 3 margaritas). I got get my manager and tell her what’s going on. She goes and dumps his drinks out off the patio, tells him to get off the property before he is called for supplying alcohol to a minor. He left.
