You should still be getting paid for non-coverage shifts. Whether you are on the floor or not, you’re on the clock! If that’s not the case then definitely bring it up to HR.

There is nothing illegal going on. It's just how Starbucks codes the hours. You're still getting paid the same, tips, etc.

Non coverage just means your hours didn’t go towards spent labor for the store. If you clocked in or wrote in the book you are still l getting paid for it
