I was rehired as an experience partner in late May and was able to negotiate my hourly pay to the level it was before I left Starbucks. Given that I have been employed by the company for two and a half years, do I qualify for the rise that will take effect on August 1st? If not, I will be losing money because of my experience and inflation.
- Based in SoCal, btw.

If you’re hired on or before May 2, you’ll be getting a raise to $15/hour or 3%, whichever is higher. Idk if you’d qualify for the 3% raise since you said you were re-hired in late May but you’ll definitely be getting at least $15/hour. I’d ask to talk to your manager because they’re the ones who are supposed to be having pay conversations with you.

You are likely not getting a raise, and your manager should have had a pay conversation with you

I was hired in 2008 and I make pennies above starting wage. Good luck getting money from Starbucks.

You’ve been a partner for 14 years!?

Yeah 😭

Which state are you in?

I’m in Florida. I won’t know my actual pay rate until they make it available on partner central. But according to the pay calculator my SM used, it said $15.15

i was hired mid/late may as well, and i just got boosted to $15/hr. i brought up the concern w my manager that it sounded like the raise wouldnt apply to me since i was hired after may 2nd, but she said that everyone, no matter when they were hired, is getting $15 minimum. i would clarify with your SM, just to be sure, but based on my experience you should be getting at least $15.
