Here is a quote that EVERY retail worker should go by: “boss gets a dollar, I get a dime. That’s why I use the restroom on company time.”

Mine was just raised from $15 to $15.45
mushmushmushmus22 points11m ago
i got a 25% raise from $12 and something cents to like $15.40 or so
Playful_Sector63 points11m ago
See that's why I put in my 2 weeks so that tomorrow's my last day. Next time I apply for a job I can say I got 15 at my last place and ask for more
Pillsburyhoeboy1933 points11m ago
You can say this anyway I got a raise at my last 3 jobs telling them I made more at my interview. Switching from domino's to a nicer restaurant I jumped from 10.50 to 17 an hour just bc I said I was getting 16
Playful_Sector15 points11m ago
Good to know, but I feel better being truthful about stuff like this. Also I suck at lying and have no poker face
more-caffeine-please23 points11m ago
If it makes you feel better, it’s not something your potential employer can verify with your previous/current. But if you’d rather do so without lying you could always go with “I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my current position for anything less than xx”
Playful_Sector5 points11m ago
Yeah that's my current tactic. That is good to know though, thank you!
persona-26 points11m ago
You can also use my total compensation. It might take a little math, but add in bean stock, free Spotify, however much they pay for their half of health care, 401k match, etc. Your just giving the dollar value of what your really being paid.
MasterMischievous0 points11m ago
Lol okay well, when you do that Starbucks employees get paid like 65$/hr. Idk anybody who’s gonna take you seriously if you give them that number.

16.50 club
thechamelioncircuit [OP]19 points11m ago
Oof cannot relate
BatWeary7 points11m ago
you’ve got me beat by 2 whole cents haha
broookeee_3 points11m ago
Wait did u originally make 15.5? (asking bc thatd what I was making and dont know what ill make now😭)
meowdrian8 points11m ago
If you have worked for the company less than 2 years, but were making $15.50 before this raise today, your new rate should be $15.96 or $15.97.
If you’ve been with the company more than 2 but less than 5 years your new rate would be $16.28.
If more than 5 years it would be $16.58.
The communication was that it would be a 3% raise if you were in a market already above the $15, plus more for tenured partners.
monicamac5245 points11m ago
long overdue
UStraightBabyGurl43 points11m ago
Congratulations all! 296er here who put in her notice a month ago. I tried to hold out but I couldn't do it anymore. I'm happy for the rest of you!
wobbysobby36 points11m ago
I’m 211 will you please fucking kill me
Fluid_Track676925 points11m ago

melodiic_11 points11m ago

lilkiosk7 points11m ago
290 and have been out since May since I couldn’t keep making the drive to my store with gas prices. But I’m so excited it finally happened because I can’t even tell you how many times I was told it was coming soon and just to hang on
DylaFer6 points11m ago
189er who doesn’t expect to ever fully give up being a partner. The ole timers weren’t lying… eventually you miss it 🥰
venusiangirl23 points11m ago
are unionized stores gonna get it?? it’s so annoying how there’s no definitive answer
PastelPinkStrawberry10 points11m ago
Unionized stores will get the $15 flat raise, they will not be getting the raise that is adjusted based on tenure. This is what I was told by my DM, unionized stores are eligible for any benefits announced before they voted, but not for any announced after (such as the Coffee Master program)
OneRoseDark32 points11m ago
that is super wrong even for the misinformation that Starbucks has disseminated.
Starbucks announced that non union stores will get $15 OR a 3% (untenured) / 5% (tenured) raise depending on which is higher. They also claimed that union stores would get $15 OR a 2% (untenured) / 3% (tenured) raise depending on which is higher -- which is what was originally promised before the union push started ramping up.
In reality, they can't punish union stores by refusing to offer us equivalent benefits, and Starbucks Workers United has waived our right to negotiate a whole slew of benefits recently unveiled to non-union stores. So if they're really acting in good faith, we should receive all the same benefits as non-union stores -- just perhaps with a slight delay in timing as they throw a few illegal tantrums.
MasterMischievous1 points11m ago
Starbucks can definitely refuse to offer equivalent benefits to unionized stores, it’s up to the union negotiators to get what you can. On the flip side you might get things non-unionized stores won’t. But that’s the point of unionizing from a corporate standpoint.
OneRoseDark1 points11m ago
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to keep benefits offered to non-union partners off the bargaining table. They're required to bargain "in good faith".

BatWeary6 points11m ago
my store is unionized and we’re getting $16.48 an hour. unsure if it’s related to the union tho
jaxelliott8 points11m ago
As far as I know it guess into effect aug 29th I believe,, I could be wrong tho!!
PartyAnything34087 points11m ago
i was told yes
boxinghamster1620 points11m ago
As a shift in Wisconsin I was bumped up to $20 and still put in my 2 weeks today, to go to a smaller place for the same pay and better tips. Know your worth guys.
MasterMischievous1 points11m ago
That’s good for you, but I’m a shift and I think we’re pretty generously paid.
boxinghamster165 points11m ago
I'm not saying I wasn't being paid fairly, just not worth the mental toll in my case if I can make the same in a lower stress environment
Admirable_Pie_544817 points11m ago
19.05 for me as a barista
Sweet-Art21036 points11m ago
how long have you been with starbucks??? i’m in socal and i’m getting $16.54
nightimevil4 points11m ago
Dude, good for you! I'm in the same state and I don't think I'll be getting any raise since I've worked with the company for less than a year.
Agreeable-Ad72252 points11m ago
What state?
Admirable_Pie_54485 points11m ago
CA
starboienby5 points11m ago
i live in ca too and i only get 16.20
Zsgevelin4 points11m ago
I’m in ca too and getting 22.05 as a shift lead with less than a year in starbucks
Admirable_Pie_54483 points11m ago
I been at starbucks for 8 years should of said that lol all my raises maxed me out
verdeuce1 points11m ago
San Fran?
mrstapdawg1 points11m ago
I’m a barista in CA also and just jumped up to $21 🙈 I’m getting paid more than some of my shift leads
[deleted]1 points11m ago
[removed]
mewwissa16 points11m ago
Fun fact: I was working with a barista who transferred from a CA store to our TX store who got to keep his CA pay rate. He made more than anyone in the store as a barista. So I guess that’s a loophole if anyone’s interested. 🤣
MasterMischievous1 points11m ago
That’s eventually going to catch up with him. I know somebody that that happened too. Believe me I do not envy them.
orangethrees33311 points11m ago
Mine isn’t showing up!! Did ya’ll check on mypartnerinfo, or did you actually have pay conversations with your manager??
Crowchick17318 points11m ago
I picked a good day for an interview! I just got rehired! (259)
beetreddwigt2 points11m ago
I just got rehired too! (179)
Glizzysforrizzy8 points11m ago
How do we find out how much the raise is ?
Perfect-Leadership5812 points11m ago
it’s $15 nationwide or if you’re like me who makes $15.50 and have only been there for a year ish you get a 3% raise, whichever is greater
Professional-Cat3932 points11m ago
Where are you that you were already getting 15.50? Im a fucking three year partner and was getting 12.60 until today.
Perfect-Leadership586 points11m ago
bay area in california :) i started at $14.50 and then about a week or two after everyone was bumped up to $15.50
Professional-Cat3933 points11m ago
I live in ND so makes sense I guess but damn.
saltandseasmoke7 points11m ago
It's a $3 raise in our district. I know it's not much for higher cost of living areas, but it's great here.
RareLingonberry6 points11m ago
I got less than a dollar raise and will only take home like $70 more a month. Can’t wait for my rent to go up like 10% in November so that I can no longer afford it 😭
jazzysoranio5 points11m ago
Where are y’all seeing your current pay rate?
meowdrian2 points11m ago
Your manager was supposed to schedule time to talk with everyone and tell them what their new rate is like last week or the week before.
Since they didn’t do that, I’d just ask them to tell you what it is. Otherwise you may be able to see it on partner central/my partner info or wait until you get your paycheck and check the pay statement.
MoonCatlol5 points11m ago
How do I check 🤔
iStealSharpies4 points11m ago
Happy I didn’t get a raise because my store unionized day
Emalloy10144 points11m ago
Same boat here, literally 75% of the people who voted yes aren't even here anymore 🙃
Different_News_10272 points11m ago
same dawg same..
iStealSharpies2 points11m ago
Same, and also a few partners that were no votes also never received their mail in votes. I am LIVID.
wobbysobby2 points11m ago
☹️🤜🤛☹️
ittybittybakerkitty4 points11m ago
I was told $15.75 as a 2 year barista. We'll see what the check says tho
baddiebarista4 points11m ago

kirushui4 points11m ago

eyveggg3 points11m ago

killrdarknes2 points11m ago

eyveggg1 points11m ago
You in the Bay Area? Lmao
killrdarknes1 points11m ago

omogal1233 points11m ago

Different_News_10272 points11m ago

verdeuce2 points11m ago

Short-Suit-33742 points11m ago

AshMoony2 points11m ago
And now they won’t schedule me at all. 🎉
wobbysobby2 points11m ago
For non-union stores 🙃🙃🙃
florencelovelace2 points11m ago
what if i already get paid $15.50 🧍🏻♀️
ddebdesdemonaa1 points11m ago
My question too. 🤨
wobbysobby-2 points11m ago
Then this post isn’t for you
florencelovelace2 points11m ago
$15.50 is minimum wage where i live, i was just wondering to see if that was gonna get raised to ??
wobbysobby2 points11m ago
Oh! Sorry for the rudeness😣 I think you’ll get a 5% if you’re a non-union store and 3% if you’re a union store? I’m actually not exactly sure.
florencelovelace1 points11m ago
thank you!
mossygreentree132 points11m ago
wait i have been on a medical leave for a month….did everyone making less than 15 go up to 15????
[deleted]1 points11m ago
[deleted]
rlogranite1 points11m ago
Wait!! Is everyone in the company getting $15?
vegan-trash1 points11m ago
Isn’t it weird they started promoting blended drinks and cold foam refreshers the day we got raises? Like they want us to earn our raises
ayakowantsmemes1 points11m ago
15.75 is well overdue for me
[deleted]1 points11m ago
Here in NY we makes 16.73 now🥴. I was like ooh a .50-.70 cent raise is always nice.
Calm_Preference62091 points11m ago

ashley-leigh1 points11m ago
I’m a 168 from Los Angeles and I’m at $19.48.
Furiosa_xo3 points11m ago
I am in Los Angeles as well. Did yours come up yet on the portal where you can check your pay rate? I don't see anything yet and neither do my coworkers. I'm a 193, 9 year partner.
ashley-leigh2 points11m ago
You know, I haven’t checked the portal yet. My manager gave us all a little folded post-it with our new rates on it.
hambuddy1 points11m ago
going from 16.51 to 20 here
Buttafly_3601 points11m ago
Yessssir🤑🤑🤑 bout time 😫 took Daam near long enough!! 😭💀💯
Mkhillvgc1 points11m ago
