My store is currently manager-less and my ASM doesn’t know the answer to so I hope my fellow Reddit baristas can help—
Im juggling a couple jobs atm and need to change my availability. Im wanting to do three 8-hr shifts a week (Sun, mon , Tues) is there a minimum days/hrs per week requirement as a shift supervisor? Thanks!

Yes, you need to be available 1.5x the amount of hours you are preferring. So if you want 24 hrs a week, you need to be available 36 hours. However, keep in mind that you can only work up to 8 hours a day. This means you need to be available for more than just those 3 days if you want to be scheduled at least 24hrs, technically.

the 8 hour thing doesn’t apply to all sbux, that depends on your state overtime laws. my state doesn’t have a daily overtime limit, so I have worked at least 10 double shifts well over 8 hours. my state just has a weekly overtime limit. so I can get two double shifts in and have two days off work for the week and still get my 40 hours before hitting overtime.

Honestly, it really depends on the sm. If the sm wanna, they can schedule a supervisor for 2-3 days; but that gotta be like friend status lol

No, unless your SM has one.

Basically they can deny a reduction in your availability if it does not fit store needs. Also as mentioned by another commenter there is the new availability rule coming into effect for all partners.

Yeah I was just demoted because I no longer meet the requirements.
