Taking food mark outs home (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by LocationRoutine
How do you guys maximize your 7 food markouts a week? With groceries being so expensive i want to use my markouts for meals and I’m wondering what the best way to do this is and if you ever take the sandwiches home cold and how you heat them? Thank you

Air fryer will be your best friend. That’s what I use to heat anything up I bring home.

i get the protien boxes. the chickpea avocado one is rly good and sometimes i can get two meals out of it

Wait you still have the old protein boxes? They switched ours out for 3 really shitty ones.

Are you licensed?
KidKonundrum 2 points 11m ago
No we are a retail store. Went through a whole lunch menu rework. All the protein boxes were phased out for the cheese trio, the eggs and Gouda, and the cheddar and salami boxes. They suck compare to the old ones.

When you say retail store what do you mean? What you described are the ones that licensed stores got (like ones inside target).

you can mark out a venti cold milk or two so you don’t have to buy milk with your groceries. @thebudgetingbarista on tiktok has done good tips too

grilled cheese is my go to. i just open it up and break the cheese into smaller pieces and distribute evenly, then broil open face in the oven.

I’ve never been told I’ve gone over and I honestly don’t keep track..do I think I use more than 7? Yes

i try to take paninis home if there’s any left i want, they’re yummy in the air fryer but tbh i usually just put them in the microwave for 1 minute :^)

Egg bites are pretty easy to pan sear.

Protein boxes are the safest for quality retention.

I haven’t found a way to make sandwiches as good as they are in the store BUT l love taking them apart to put on a bagel instead.

an air fryer is perfect for the breakfast sandwiches (theyve got some at walmart for like 40$)

honestly i never take my markouts home bc i need to eat them on shift 😅 but as someone who takes other ingredients home to eat, my shift lets me mark out the milk cartons if i mark it out as 3 venti cups of milk (i get almond), and if i want any ingredients from work i mark it out as a drink with just the ingredient in it. food prices suck :(

Freezer stays with at least two sets of bacon egg bites at ALL times!!
