No ice on shaken espressos... why

Theyre getting lukewarm milk and a few extra sips of it too lol people will do just about anything to get a few more extra gulps or milk. Because in the espresso drinks, the amount of shots dont change (unless specified), only the milk does so the customers that scream over shit like that are essentially having extra milk lol they act like its gold

i do no ice with my iced chais sometimes because the milk is usually cold enough. Assuming the milk isn't just sitting out on the counter the whole day. Plus i really hate the sensation of ice on my teeth and the thought of watered down milk grosses me out

Today I got a shaken espresso no ice, no I didn’t shake it. I just stirred the product. No way im getting exploded

i work in a college town and we get a lot of trenta no ice refreshers because people use it as a mixer lmao. can't say i blame them.

a lot of people also get no ice drinks in the evening in order to put them in the fridge for the next morning

If I’m getting an iced drink I want it to be refreshingly cold, not the 39 degrees out of the fridge. That’s why I don’t like the nitro either. I also hate the sloshing sound no ice makes. My husband gets his drinks with light or no ice though and it doesn’t seem to bother some people 🤷🏼‍♀️

They always seem to go in waves. I think part of it is the cost of the drinks right now, relative to everyone's paychecks, is just ridiculous. You know, along with every other cost of items at the moment. Yet SB has worked really hard to make fancy coffee an essential item. I don't care tbh. It'll go away eventually. People will get tired of either having lukewarm drinks, or having to cool them down or pour them over their own ice, soon enough. When prices get more reasonable again. It is definitely one of those things that is irritating in the moment, but best to just let go.

I've had an order for a "no ice" mocha cookie crumble before . They were insistent so I just made it but God it made me so mad.

So honestly I just do it because after working there for years and seeing the prices, I’m just trying to get more bang for my buck lol. The markup on the product is so insane that there’s zero reason to care that I’m “scamming the system,” because after working there for years, I know that the system itself is a scam and getting no ice doesn’t matter at all, especially since I’m just taking my iced chai or cold brew home to drink for the next day or two. I also only go to the bux like once on a blue moon and tip well so I’m not pressed

So many no ice drinks and they expect it to be full to the top too?? Is that a thing?? Like the other day I had a lady send back her no ice, iced decaf americanos because I filled them to the top line, but not the top of the cup, the same way I would normally make it subtracting the ice, and I go to deliver them and kindly tell her, hey if you want them to be full every time, you can ask for extra water and so we can always make sure to get it right, and she starts hitting me with the "they never have made it like this before" and "they don't ever tell me that" and I'm like dude, there's no way that's right.

I personally am a no ice getter and it really has nothing to do with the milk, I just don’t want the ice in my cup at the end of the drink. And I only do it for iced coffees.

Same on the idea of watery milk grossing me out, and super cold drinks hurt my teeth.

i usually put like 4 ice cubes if it’s shaken just to mix it all up and it ends up melting anyways. haven’t had an issue so far

Our matcha and chai are powders so we steam them into our milk. Most of the time they’re getting warm drinks plus I’m giving you a full 16 oz of milk for a recipe that calls for 11 oz of milk the flavor is gonna get watered down with the additional milk…what is the reason

also i like my iced chai with no ice and oat milk because i think the default amount of chai is a little strong, and if i get no ice it balances out and gives me more in my drink.

Personally if i know im going to be taking a while to drink my drink i order no ice so it doesn’t melt and get yucky. Sometimes i order a no ice drink and then put it in my fridge to drink the next morning. Different strokes for different folks yall🤷🏼‍♀️
