It’s just practice!
When you’re on front/dto, look at the shots/pumps amount on the side for every drink you type in.
For pumps, you can count up using “Short, short, tall, grande, venti, iced venti, trenta” Say you have a venti iced chai in your hand, pump up to venti cold (you’ll get 6 pumps by saying short, short, tall, grande, venti, iced venti and pumping for each)
You can always have a little paper beside ya telling you what goes in for shots and pumps and exceptions because it is just muscle memory! Look up Starbucks bar cheat sheets 2022 and print or recreate

Another thing that helped me was to study/glance over the Starbucks app! You can click on any drink and if you click customize it tells you how many pumps/shots of everything go into the drink! You can also change the size and see the differences.
It also has pictures which helps you remember what certain drinks look like to help you remember like toppings etc. for frapps
There is also a lot of quizlets out there that are helpful! Don’t stress too much, you’ll get used to it after a while and it will come easier!

My store had this sign put up for training, and since I'm still not cpmpletely solid I took a hot short cup and wrote all the info on it! I keep it on top of the bar by the espresso beans when I'm on that station :)
