Tomorrow is my last shift and it’s definitely bittersweet (self.starbucksbaristas)

After being at my store for over a year, I finally found a better paying job and took it. Within the last 6 months, the energy at my store has changed dramatically. It’s drive thru only, so we’re pushed very hard to make drive times and customer connections.

We’re also chronically understaffed and deal with high maintenance customers on the regular. I don’t know exactly what the turning point was, but morale is basically zero due to constant callouts and people quitting left and right. I feel bad for the green beans having to see our store in such a decline, but the incentive just isn’t there.

I’m looking forward to being on bar for my last time ever and hope it’s not just fraps and refreshers 🤦‍♀️ My Starbucks experience has been both awesome and grueling. I wouldn’t have stuck it out for so long if it wasn’t for the great partners by my side.

Here’s to hoping this billion dollar company starts treating its employees better by paying a livable wage and prioritizing the partner experience over the customer experience.

Like how many people are on the floor during peak? Or how many partners work at the store overall?

At peak, sorry

Ideally a 5-6 floor, but with callouts, it’s usually 4 floor

What window times do a drive thru only have to get? And what is reality? I’ve never worked at one.
LumpyAloe [OP] 3 points 11m ago
55 or below on weekdays, 1 minute and 5 on weekends

We do a mix of drive, cafe, and mobile and have to have lower drive times then that.

I could be wrong on my times! Or we’re just a really slow store 🤷‍♀️
