There’s absolutely no camaraderie as a partner (self.starbucksbaristas)

My coworkers aren’t worth showing up for at all. The vibes are off completely because I’m not the favorite or part of the friend group of coworkers.

They throw me under the bus & like to play victim calling me the bad guy when I’m literally just breathing through a crappy work environment.
So sorry I can’t smile through my suffering like management expects— I was told that I walked in & looked a certain way in the face and that wasn’t allowed… okay like I’m so tired.

It doesn’t feel good to show up & never be acknowledged for doing the best at the moment. I don’t pick up shifts for anyone anymore. I don’t jump when they say jump so now they want to say I’m slacking when there have been consistent call-outs & some folks have to pick up more slack(I’ve been one of them)… anyway,

I hope to have better work experiences by the end of this year because I most likely will not make it past 2 years as a partner especially not in my current location… I feel absolutely burnt out in all ways possible… to communicate that to my coworkers and then be told that I’m slacking by the manager is a slap in the face & tbh I feel a way about it but I’m pushing through it.

I’m almost a year in now & I’ll have to take it day by day for now… I’m tired:/

Do you think you would want to transfer? Sounds like a shitty situation, partners should always support each other. Only reason I’ve stayed for all these past couple months is because of the other partners and the culture - they’re possibly the best group of people I’ve worked with! Can’t imagine it’s worth staying at Starbucks otherwise (unless you’re doing ASU)

I’ve been a borrowed partner at a location closer to my house & that team is great, easy going, hard working, & welcoming. So I’ll have to see what the next few months have in store. The environment is 100% what makes the job.I haven’t started asu although I’m considering it but I’m not sure yet.I’m also not a young barista—my store is run by a younger team so of course nobody wants to work with someone who isn’t their friend.
