by far probably the most mundane sounding thing that i always look forward to is doing floors 😭 im like one of the only partners at my store that actually does them thoroughly + quickly and i love doing them because i dont have to bar or deal with customers or essentially be concerned with whats happening on the floor around me i just sweep and mop and chill with my coworkers ❤️ certain shifts know that i actually like doing them and that i do them well so they will always try to find room in the play to have me pull off to do them lol

Um getting paid and going home?

My favourite part of the job is when it’s busy but the trainer and trainee who are non coverage take CS and suddenly I have enough staff for the floor! Or any type of bonus coverage I wasn’t expecting ! (This is from an SSV perspective)

Running the floor like a well oiled machine. Everyone pulling their part and feeling accomplished from the team work. I’m a high-expectations shift, but am learning to let the small things slide (which was hard from a healthcare perspective where if you didn’t wash your hands or prep a site well, it resulted in infection or death…)

I’m a people person and I love making others happy cause it makes me happy so I love the job as a whole. Working register means I get to suggest drinks, start up a conversation and be the first person a customer interacts with which lets them have a good experience. I love making and handing out drinks cause customers sometimes need that extra little push for the day whether it’s a smile, being told to have a good day or just getting their drink. Anddd I love making new customers happy cause it gives me the chance to build rapport as well as provide them with a good experience from the moment they enter the store to the moment they get their drink🙂

hot bar and restock. I love hot bar for obvious reasons. I love restock cuz I can just make a whole bunch of stuff the store needs while jamming to my music and it's just the greatest

I love when i can just vibe on hot bar for a while. I love espresso bar so much, its so routine to me and it makes my silly little neurodivergent brain happy

honestly, a day like yesterday. I had a mid-close shift and was working w one of my fav coworkers, i swear we were just laughing ab stupid shit the entire time while our lobby was empty😭. Prolly the only good thing about our store being dead after about 4 pm but im sure thats gonna end soon😓

I look forward to saying hi to the folks who come in everyday for their usual——there’s a particular older man who comes in almost everyday & we as a team greet him, I think that’s the highlight of his day tbh, & we all also say goodbye to him but he comes in daily, so when he doesn’t come consecutively in we get worried…

When we have a good crew, everyone is vibing. Banging out drinks and food, and everyone is keeping themselves busy without being hounded. And just laughing and joking the whole time.
The good vibes is honestly what keeps me there.

As a barista, hot bar. I love being on bar when it’s crazy busy and just getting in sequence and hitting my flow. It’s very satisfying to my ADHD brain.

As an SSV, my favorite thing is leading a shift where my partners are having fun, genuine laughter and enjoying being at work together. I love knowing that I’m leading a shift where people DONT HATE being at their job and that we actually enjoy being together.

i kinda like restocking, like after a rush when it finally slows down and you can just bring everything you need without any interruptions. that and when i get in a groove on bar and my sequencing is perfect and i can hand out drinks super fast

I love a lot about the job. I think it depends on the time of day and which partners I'm with but most of the time it's pretty smooth sailing. My favorite is when we have a full staff and I'm on drive-thru so I can confidently take orders and give drinks out without worrying about waiting. I'm about to start training to be a shift so I'm ready to find a new favorite.

And honestly customers in general. I met a UK girl today who was here for school. I love interacting with the kids. I love when parents light up when I involve their kids. I love complimenting customers. I love watching them light up as they tell me details about their day. It could be the most mundane thing but their faces are everything.

I love evening/night shift and the goofs with us partners when no one is looking.

I love when I can take the extra step and give the customer something to hopefully remember the rest of the day and smile over.

That's what keeps me coming back honestly.

soloing on window/dto. i’m one of the few in my store who can handle dealing with the customer at window while listening and putting in the order for dto. my fav part is when it’s slammed, it makes time goes by so quick

making mocha! i used to hate it but now i look forward to it every time. i don’t even know why, it’s just satisfying.

My favorite part of the job is Bar breakdown. I've done it for so long now that its become muscle memory. I dont have to deal with customers, I dont have to worry about making drinks, I can just zone out and clean. I find is immensely satisfying to see the difference that i make
