Tbh I see the oatmilk do this a lot even when it's shaken

It’s been happening at our store as well!

i’m guessing all of the dark stuff is the cinnamon and maybe the white stuff is because of whatever brand oatmilk the stores using? i know my stores been using the chobani substitute for a while and i haven’t noticed this, but maybe if your store is using a different brand it could be because of that?

I’ve noticed this a lot more after we stopped using Oatly :( do y’all use the Dream brand?

It's the shitty Dream-brand of oatmilk they have us using lately. Tastes meh and has a tendency to separate/curdle.

was the drink light ice ? maybe the hot espresso curdled the oatmilk ?

It's definitely the cinnamon - it always sinks. I get a toasted vanilla espresso with sweet cream and cinnamon and that still happens so it's definitely not the oat milk haha

I hope many customers and baristas understand that also when non dairy’s are really cold they separate hence why pink drinks may look separated / same with jobs

Happens a lot with the brand we swapped to after oatly. It seems thinner and separates much easier

This happens with the soy milk all the time at my store!

My question is why does it do this and what is it??? It happens when you shake it really well too… I’ve had so many customers complain and I’ve had to remake drinks 3+ times even after explaining that it’s still going to do the exact same thing even if I use a new box

Milk wasn’t cold enough

They didn’t shake the oat milk before pouring into the drink. And also the cinnamon is contributing to that look. Same thing happens when you don’t shake soy milk enough
