Never seen a BOSE do this before. Any idea why? The oatmilk was shaken well before.(i.redd.it)

Tbh I see the oatmilk do this a lot even when it's shaken
Responsible_Snow710941 points11m ago
Yepp i noticed it with that and with soy milk too
Specialist_Nebula75020 points11m ago
It’s been happening at our store as well!
YouKnowYouKnoww [OP]14 points11m ago
I guess it depends on the brand. We’ve been using Oatly and just switched. The espresso seems stronger too and the drink not as creamy.
SaevioAvis13 points11m ago
What did y’all switch to? I noticed another comment asking if you’re using Dream. My store uses Dream and some of the chunks at the bottom are definitely noticeable :/
agntr3d5 points11m ago
Yeah i’ve noticed this since switching to Dream oatmilk
kimjafo2 points11m ago
My GM said it’s because it has to be refrigerated at all times after opening and he’s noticed it being left on the counter a lot but idk :(
gabbysafari14 points11m ago
i’m guessing all of the dark stuff is the cinnamon and maybe the white stuff is because of whatever brand oatmilk the stores using? i know my stores been using the chobani substitute for a while and i haven’t noticed this, but maybe if your store is using a different brand it could be because of that?
laadupe11 points11m ago
I’ve noticed this a lot more after we stopped using Oatly :( do y’all use the Dream brand?
drueowen7 points11m ago
our store has chobani oat
jams10157 points11m ago
It's the shitty Dream-brand of oatmilk they have us using lately. Tastes meh and has a tendency to separate/curdle.
drueowen5 points11m ago
*stares at BOSE*
me: “what kind of speaker is this”
*thinks way too hard*
*looks at subreddit*
frappeyourmom3 points11m ago
Same. I chalked it up to it being really freaking early local time but thank you for confirming indirectly it wasn’t just me.
Responsible_Snow71091 points11m ago
Lmao i absolutely love this comment cuz i as well have done that before with some subreddits😄
Necessary_Low9395 points11m ago
Should be cinnamon and some oat milk flakes
mymelodywithaglock4 points11m ago
was the drink light ice ? maybe the hot espresso curdled the oatmilk ?
taaylorjean1 points11m ago
it should be shaken before hand with the ice so the oat milk would never make contact with hot espresso
iCeleste4 points11m ago
It's definitely the cinnamon - it always sinks. I get a toasted vanilla espresso with sweet cream and cinnamon and that still happens so it's definitely not the oat milk haha
RubySapphireSage3 points11m ago
I hope many customers and baristas understand that also when non dairy’s are really cold they separate hence why pink drinks may look separated / same with jobs
MrsOceanGrown2 points11m ago
Yes! It has to do with stores not pre chilling the non dairy milk.
nikkicarter11113 points11m ago
Happens a lot with the brand we swapped to after oatly. It seems thinner and separates much easier
Dear-Document49812 points11m ago
This happens with the soy milk all the time at my store!
OGbananaranium2 points11m ago
My question is why does it do this and what is it??? It happens when you shake it really well too… I’ve had so many customers complain and I’ve had to remake drinks 3+ times even after explaining that it’s still going to do the exact same thing even if I use a new box
HamiltonPolka2 points11m ago
Milk wasn’t cold enough
MrsOceanGrown2 points11m ago
They didn’t shake the oat milk before pouring into the drink. And also the cinnamon is contributing to that look. Same thing happens when you don’t shake soy milk enough
evviiieeee2 points11m ago
oatly oatmilk just got recalled and this is prob why lol
mimii-09186 points11m ago
why is it recalled ? we still use oatly at my starbies..😬
frappeyourmom2 points11m ago
The same bacteria that caused the recall of the formula was found in oatly as well.
evviiieeee1 points11m ago
we still use it too lol starbucks hasn’t said anything about it yet
pezookazoo2 points11m ago
oat and soy balls!
Dillonitis2 points11m ago
The cinnamon settles to the bottom?
YouKnowYouKnoww [OP]3 points11m ago
There’s white pieces in it like the oatmilk is curdling. Normally it’s nice and creamy but when the oatmilk does this I’ve noticed it doesn’t taste right
molwalk1 points11m ago
It's just the oat milk being too thick. It happens
Expecto_nihilus1 points11m ago
Issues after the Oatly switch, but Oatly was the brand recalled. It don’t make no sense!
Belgrifex1 points11m ago
My store has been having gross oat milk too lately. Might be a company problem
