if u want my honest opinion, working at starbucks with anxiety is extremely difficult. i have ptsd as well as severe anxiety and bipolar disorder and the only reason i'm able to get through my shifts is bc most of the time i just suppress my anxiety and deal with it later, but i mean that isn't good and i wouldn't encourage anyone else to do that. literally today i was so overwhelmed during my shift bc we were so busy i started to go stress blind 🫠🫠🥲 trust me, ive seen people come and go bc they can't handle a fast paced, high pressure job like this. u really don't realize it until you're already in it. if you're not confident that you'll be able to handle a very fast paced, stressful, overstimulating, and overwhelming environment i would look elsewhere :(

Uhhhh lol I have anxiety and tbh the first month of learning was absolutely hell. I was crying every day. It’s my second month and thankfully I’m feeling so much better but I still get anxiety from the customers because they can be really cruel :(

I struggled working there A LOT with my anxiety (GAD). Had panic attacks and my former SM triggered me into a panic attack where I almost passed out from hyperventilating so bad. Unless you have a really good support system in your store team, which right now not many stores have, if any, I would absolutely recommend AGAINST applying at Starbucks if you're worried about your anxiety

Wouldn’t say it’s good for someone with social anxiety/someone who’s shy thanks to connection scores

Actually yes and no, it will definitely give you anxiety working there, but you are automatically eligible from day one to enroll in Lyra, it’s free access to psychotherapy, I use it and it works wonders for anxiety.

It’s a very fast pace environment, and unfortunately you have to be trained and work various different positions from bar, ovens, front register, drive though, and more. I use to have GAD and a panic disorder, but through therapy and medicine, Im now able to function more efficiently.
