am i the only one who hate crusties like this?? like if you drink is so complicated that you get discrepancies among baristas, you are the problem, not us.
we have a regular at my store who came in and i let one of the green beans know that she will send the drink back if it’s not made exactly how she wants it and low and behold she sent it back. she legit asked for “someone who actually know how to make her drink” to make it for her because she didn’t recognize the newer person🙄
i made the drink the same exact way and it was suddenly made perfect

i’m always like “i’m sure *x* can make it for you perfectly too! unfortunately i’m busy doing *x* right now so i can’t help you at the moment.

I get so tempted to tell people like this to throw an apron on and make their drink themselves. I get liking your drink a certain way but your 3/4 caf triple ever so slightly wet cappuccino with 2.7 splenda does not trump basic human decency

one of our regulars came in one day and only recognized me. she made a fuss about having me make her drink, and i eventually had to tell her “look, i hurt my wrist and can’t do bar. the person on bar is fully capable of making your drink.”
it wasn’t even a complicated drink, it’s just 3 shots over extra extra ice in a venti cup with light coconut milk and 2 splenda.

As a sm I always tell these people that all my baristas are trained to make drinks in exactly the same way so there won’t be a difference depending on who makes it.

We have a regular that will always ask for me to make/remake her drinks so I try to go on trash runs when I see their order.
