Nvm the customers always try to spell it like [Akay] or they just give up spelling it bc they dont know it 😭😂

the ç is a "sss" sound, and you pronounce all the letters. "ah-ss-ah-ee" at regular speaking speeds it will come out "uh-sigh-ee"

açai is uh-sigh,
full reasoning: the ç makes a /s/ sound (think of the word façade). the a gets reduced to a shwa /ə/ to make the "uh" sound, and the ai is just the ai dipthong.

Where I work many Spanish speakers pronounce it akai, someone told me that’s how it’s pronounced in Spanish.
