Trying to Transfer from TN. to MI. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by SnooRadishes3119
Hey guys so I’m trying to transfer out of state as a 3 year partner, and 3 month SSV. I am from a Tennessee corp store and want to go to another corp store hopefully in Michigan. I was wondering what steps I need to take? Also, if it’d be difficult due to only being a shift for 3 months and not 6 months like I’ve seen on some applications, or maybe I’m wrong? Thanks for any help partners!! 😁

not sure about your questions regarding being a shift because i'm a barista, but i've been through the transfer process. firstly, i would let your store manager know that you are looking to transfer and make them aware that you will be filling out a transfer request. then, call stores in the area you want to work in and see if any of them are looking for shifts. when you find a store that says they'd be interested in having you transfer, get their store number and the sm's email address. then contact your current sm and tell them that you will be filling out that transfer request. mine did mine for me, but some give you a form to manually fill out. give your sm the other sm's contact info and the store number. once you fill it out and your sm signs all the paper work, you should be set. i would just contact that store you're transferring to and make sure the process is finalized on their end. keep in contact with the new sm and tell the. when you plan to start at their store. oh, and make sure all of your ipad training is complete!
