Bosses are convinced it makes ppl look unprofessional and when I interviewed at target they told me I needed a doctors note to have my water at front. Keep a water bottle somewhere inconvenient and ask for a lot of water breaks and they'll probably make an exception and let you put it somewhere convenient but no garuntee. I'm still p new to sbux specifically but it's worked at other jobs.

You are not allowed to have drinks of any kind on the floor; it’s a food safety issue, so you’re not allowed to eat or drink on the floor.
