what’s the proper way to make the green, black, and passion tea? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by michelangelhoeee
i’ve been trained by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing and takes short cuts. i want to know the proper way to do things and not the “easy “ way.

add bag, liter of hot water, sit for 5 mins, take bag out, add venti scoop of ice, wait for it to melt, add the rest of the way of cold water.

Since when do you have to wait for the ice to melt? That’s standard?
voxinx 1 points 11m ago
well ice takes more space so i figured it would make sense with the ~standard~ amount of water but that’s what i’ve been taught.

But ice doesn’t take up that much more space. It’s really minuscule.

What’s the “easy” way you were taught?

Am probably a bit late here but whatever; The easiest way is to look at the Beverage Resourse Manuel. It is under "Store Resources" on the IPADs, and under the "Coffee and Drinks(?)" Section. Here you will find all standards regarding the making of stuff like sweet cream, whipped cream, and teas. This has been all but a life saver in dissolving conflict over what the standards actually are seeing as they commonly change from store to store.
