Lol literally, always do clean play, never see a weekend off , will work a close then be scheduled in the morning, I’ve asked multiple times to get weekends off sometimes or get clean play off and it works for a week then it’s back to the same , while other people at my store get consistent time shifts and always have weekends off

Might try and do that again, last time I did because I wanted to see my gf, family , friends who all only have weekends off , I was told I am needed on the weekend, just made no sense why every weekend, I love Starbucks but managers thinking they can use me like that is annoying at this point

That's what it feels like some days. I'm scheduled for 11 shifts in the next 2 weeks, all of which my manager intentionally scheduled outside of my availability because my availability is "stupid and unnecessarily complicated"... it's not. I told him I needed to be off by a certain time for the next few weeks, explained why, he approved it a month in advance, and now he's scheduled me to close every shift. I told him I need off 1 day a week and he has scheduled me to work that day nearly every week now. I begged him for less hours and I'm working 6 days next week. I've been with this company for a bit over a month, for context. I want to scream. I love my coworkers, but this is easily one of the worst managers I've had in a long time. The other day he quite literally told a new barista that she sucked and sent her home crying. Sorry for the rant. I'm just so angry.

Good lord. That sucks. Everyone needs time to learn and he needs to hire more people if u work 6/7 days straight. I like those short 4/5 hr shifts and this summer I’m doing 6/7 hrs and I’m dying lol

And nah I've worked way more than that. Tomorrow is my first day off in 9 days. NINE. I am in so much physical pain it's not even funny. And tbh I'd rather have longer shifts, bc I could work less days and I would get a 30. Now he always schedules me just short of being allowed to get a 30, I miss having time to eat food lmao.

Oh yeah, the best part is that bc my availability is so "stupid and complicated", he says it's my fault he intentionally scheduled me outside my availability, so it's my responsibility to find coverage for all 11 shifts. Lmfaooooo. No. That's why I'm calling the DM. If he wants to fuck me over, I'm gonna do my damndest to fuck him over harder.

If you have proof you told him this then message your DM. If you can’t be there you can’t be there. I had to do this when my manager scheduled me to work on a day I was watching my 11 month old. She said she would write me up if I didn’t come in, I said I can’t and I’ll contact the dm. Nothing else came of it and she never scheduled me outside my availability again.
