How late is too late to file an incident report? (CW: Non-consensual photos taken) (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by tortsnol
Heavily watered down on the details, but About a month ago, we caught a non-paying customer taking photos of our regulars and our baristas. (One regular even has a photo he took of her. Shift has a photo of him with his phone pointed directly AT her. I caught him taking a photo of my back when I momentarily went out from behind the bar and swiping his phone away when I looked back. We all deduced he was also taking photos of women in the cafe for about a month or two at the time. It just took us a while to catch on since he only recently got a phone.) He was caught doing this twice and on the 2nd time, SM was particularly unhelpful with this as they had ignored our pleas to help us/kick him out/ban him. (They had stopped reponding to texts and calls after 5) It wasn't until a whole other ordeal happened that he finally got banned on the 3rd or 4th time.
I was waiting to see if SM would even approach me or the others who worked that night to check up on what happened, how we felt, etc. Because I've talked to another coworker that it was kind of traumatizing and makes working scarier since we cannot even ensure that we'll be safe. But instead SM is trying to cover up the whole situation and trying to pretend it never happened. They're are even going after people who bring it up/try to change things to make sure everyone feels safe bc they don't want to admit they were in the wrong. There's many other issues with this SM, but I feel like this was the worst n more vile red flag they've revealed... Regardless, I wasn't even aware I was able to file an incident report myself until a few days ago after talking to one of my SSVs, so I was wondering if the window has already passed?

I would report the SM to the DM or the partner contact center. An SM should always stand up for their store’s partners smh

That's how I feel too. I'll probably report them even though it has been a bit.
