Those machines broke constantly right? Poor baristas, I stopped ordering them after I saw how it was an extra step with leaky containers for them. But I liked the taste of it though. Sparkling berry sangria was a godsend, followed by regular berry sangria.

Sometimes it would hold the drink hostage and you couldn't get it to release the canister. Sometimes it would seal itself too tight and you couldn't get it off. Sometimes the machine just... stopped powering on, or the dial would stop working... plus pouring it during a rush could get scary sometimes lmao but that one might've just been me.

You had like a 60/40 chance that the drink wouldn't be serveable on a good day. Closest alternative people at my store found was using the Perrier or San Pelligrino sparkling waters to mix with the refreshers.

They were these machines that carbonated the drinks. I’m pretty sure they were discontinued cause it was a massive pain the ass and weren’t every popular. Mostly used for iced teas and things.

I believe those are done with sparkling water, not put through a separate machine. The Fizzios haven't been in any Starbucks stores in years

Yeah it was phased out in like mid-to-late 2017. I would assume it wasn't selling well because so many machines were malfunctioning.

Ours would hold drinks captive and refuse to let them go. Last thing I ever made in it was a sparkling Strawberry Acai, and i had to fight for it lmfao

I stopped working at Starbucks 5 years ago, so I must have misremembered. I’m pretty certain my old store still had it in 2018.

But good riddance.

On another note, I did a stupid and wanted to try fizzio ice coffee for testing purposes.

Honestly, it wouldn't be unreasonable for y'all to have still had it. Starbucks is infamously awful at phasing machines in and out of their stores. I think the Clover phase-out took 2 years? And I'm sure there are some stores out there still struggling with the really old Mastrenas lmao

There's some reserve stores that have sparkling options. Like a soda stream.
There are so many other menu items that we don't carry. If you look around under seasonal and such.

It’s for when a customer is giving you an attitude. Corporate didn’t want to put “spanking” because too much sexual connotation, but that’s just a note to whoever is at dtw or hand off so they know what to do :)

Be glad you don’t know. Fizzio was an abomination even by Starbucks standards. Rarely did it work properly , and when it did it required you to slow pour a bev and wait for the carbonation and foam to settle. I think to this day it was one of the largest investment flops in company history. Every store had one and the machines were expensive and garbage.
