had a group of middle school aged girls come into my old location and ask for 5 surprise me drinks. they were pretty rude, and the barista on pos rang them up for 5 tall pike coffees

raspberry lemonade w/ a splash of passion tea on top to make that pretty ombré. always has gotten me tips and very happy customers, sweet and tasty too for the summer. :)

I do the snickerdoodle! Half cinnamon dolce half white mocha, whip and cd topping. My old SM said it was his go to for surprise mes and now it’s mine lol

a blonde ristretto espresso (however many shots they want) with toffee nut and sweet cream! it's so tasty and my go to on my break or after work, and people have liked it so far

If we are busy, it's a nitro, a iced chai, or a vanilla cream cold brew. Sorry it's basic but....peak....

If we are not so busy I go with a iced chai with oatmilk and a shot of espresso. Maybe brown sugar, maybe cold foam.

“Tiramisu Cocoa” i created this when i worked there. basically it’s a dressed up iced mocha. here’s my recipe. i always did venti. a lot of my partners begged me to make it and to share the recipe but i never did but since i no longer am claimed by the siren you can have the recipe.

2 Blonde ristretto shots

2 pumps mocha

2 pumps vanilla

1/2 scoop of cocoa powder

oatmilk

1/2 scoop cocoa powder in cold foam

pour the cold foam on top, sprinkle cocoa on top and mocha drizzle

Depends on what they want, but I would do something simple because they always ask this during peak. Surprise! It’s a pike 😂

If I’m feeling extra nice a horchata almondmilk Frappuccino, otherwise a mango dragonfruit or strawberry açaí with green tea instead of water.

Edit: I don’t call the frappucino by name to customers as it’s discontinued or off the menu or whatever and that would cause issues a la secret menu.

around valentine’s day i’ll do a cold brew with white mocha and sweet cream or an iced white mocha and top whichever they prefer with strawberry foam, and the peppermint mocha topping (chocolate curls) if we still have some.

any other time i’ll do a cookies and cream cold brew (same recipe as above, just with vsc foam blended w cookie crumbles instead of strawberry!) unless they want something hot. then they get a salted caramel mocha (just without the salt bc the packets don’t work at good :( )

if it’s a kid, it depends on if they’re allowed caffeine. no caffeine i’ll do strawberry frap with chocolate drizzle, vanilla bean with mocha OR toffee nut, passion tea lemonade with raspberry, or blended strawberry (purée—not açaí) lemonade with raspberry. if caffeine is okay i’ll do a refresher with raspberry or peach. or a flavored hot chocolate:) typically i’ll give them white mocha, cinnamon dolce and cd sprinkles!

My fav “surprise me” and recommendation lately has been passion tea lemonade sweetened and with one pump of raspberry! To me it tastes like a popsicle and it’s been a hit especially since we’ve been having the rolling shortages of strawberry/mango refreshers

I give people a pink drink w no inclusions and no ice and remove the sticker. They think it’s milk and then spit take when they drink it 😂

I would rather the customer know what they want do the cost of any “surprise me” drink. A few times at our location we have had customers ask for a “surprise me” drink only to complain about the cost. 😢
Now I do brewed coffee with a shot or an under toe! Secretly, I want to just give them a glass a faucet water.

For tea I would always do the peach green tea lemonade but add raspberry as my shift drink, or black tea with milk and brown sugar
If they like matcha, adding brown sugar is very good
Sometimes people would flavor the cold foams with syrup or powder

iced matcha latte- made with heavy cream or sweet cream. add vanilla (skip if used sweet cream). 1-vb scoop. shaken with cinnamon inside. add sccf if you’re feeling frisky

I usually do the pineapple refresher with lemonade with raspberry and dragon fruit pieces🤷🏽‍♀️

You guys get enough surprise me drinks to worry about this

Iced coffee with double the size appropriate pumps of hazelnut and a dash of halfnhalf

Passion tea with no water, peach juice, and toasted vanilla

My surprise really depends on the season. As it’s almost fall but still hot. I would do an apple pie frap. Cream base, whole milk with apple juice, 1 pump caramel and 1 pump cin dolce. Top with caramel and cin dolce sprinkles.

White mocha with raspberry and blonde shots! It used to be my go to drink, and now I use it on customers.

i personally call it an horchata, but it’s a black tea with sweet cream instead of water, vanilla and cinn dolce with cinnamon powder shaken in. tastes real close to actual horchata

I call it Drinkenstein's Monster.

It's a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher with no water, no inclusions.

Add Passion Tango, peach juice, 2 pumps raspberry syrup, one pump peppermint, and top it off with VSCCF.

It's not exactly popular with whoever is on bar, but it has this gorgeous ruby hue and tastes delicious

White mocha frap with brown sugar, cinnamon blended in and crunch topping... better if made with oatmilk imo.

Venti shaken espresso
- Sub 3 pumps white mocha
- sub breve (or oatmilk)
- add cinnamon powder
- (salted foam if you’re feeling wild)

This was my go-to back when we still had the starbucks double shot lol

For espresso, usually an iced white mocha with toffee nut and salted caramel cold foam :)

For a frap, strawberry's and cream with white mocha or mocha cookie crumble sub mocha for dark caramel

Refresher, mango dragon fruit refresher, no water, no incl, sub water for peach and half pumps of vanilla
