HOBART DOWN !! HOBART DOWN !!! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by StrawbaerryJay
So, we turned on our hobart on to wash dishes after peak and this happened. Our guys usually take a while to show up — is there anything we can do here to fix this ?? I want to get as much done for our closers .

I don’t know how to fix it. Sounds like it might have been moved a little and the water connection has been loosened.

I was an opener for a few years and now I’m a closer. I SOOO appreciate that you are thinking of the closers!

Until it’s fixed, I’m sure you know you can wash everything in the three compartment sink. Dishes do not have to go through the Hobie.

Good luck and thank you for being a great partner!!

I guarantee it’s the water connection. Similarly, we put a ticket in because it wasn’t draining. Come to find out the hobart had been slightly too much to the left and caused a kink to form 🙄 literally all the dude did was slide it like an inch to the right and it was fine.

That’s the plan, to wash things by hand, Hobart just makes things go by so much faster. I used to be a closer so I kinda have a soft spot for the people I used to close with.

I hope Hobie got fixed!

In MY experience the partners I’ve worked with who have never worked the opposite shift are unbalanced. Those who have worked both opening and closing have a MUCH better understanding of what they need to do and they are always thinking of what the opposite shift will need to have done for them to have a successful shift. I really wish there was some way to require everyone to work at least one week on the opposite shift. I know it’s not gonna happen but I just wish it would.

Again I really hope you had a good shift and Hobie is working!!😊
