yeah, but at my store it wasn’t anything rigorous, it was something that took 4 hrs when it should have taken 1🤣 but hey 4 hours to stand around and get paid?! I’ll take it

what???? when is it? i have my schedule all the way out to the 28th and i’m not scheduled for any kind of training/non coverage
dreadheada 1 points 11m ago
it’s possible your managers are still planning it or you don’t have to do the training. But it’s really easy so it’s nothing to worry about

Yep! You may not be doing all back to basics training, though - I was placed in an advising pod, which was more about coaching, de-escalation, and maintaining the third place.

We did all that and re learn how to steam milk and sequence
clouds183 1 points 11m ago
we did too but I still don’t know how to get consistently good milk foam and my pod lead said my super bubbly big bubbled milk was good but it’s so not 🤧 but when I asked her for tips on how to get consistently good silky smooth milk foam she wasn’t able to help me. and she’s going to be a shift supervisor 🙃

For consistently good milk foam make sure to aerate the milk for the appropriate amount of time, then take the time to “groom” the milk! A latte will be aerated for 1-3 seconds, and a cappuccino will be aerated for 6-8 seconds. “Aerate” refers to the noise the milk makes that sounds like paper tearing. So when you first start to steam your milk you always aerate first and you’ll do that by following the paper tearing noise for the appropriate amount of time (be gentle about it, the milk shouldn’t be splashing around everywhere). After you’ve aerated push the steaming wand further into the milk and let it steam per usual. Once it’s finished you’ll move onto grooming the milk. To do this you’ll want to take the pitcher of milk and tap it against the counter to remove any large bubbles, at the same time swirl the milk around in the pitcher. You should consistently get that wet paint look doing this! 😊 Hoping I was able to help out to some degree 😅

I do this and get such big bubbles lmao it’s so shitty. I’ve learned from youtube videos that the whirlpool motion while steaming is very important but cannot for the life of me get the whirlpool consistently.
