Does anyone else have problems with their voice hurting on drive (self.starbucksbaristas)

There have been times where I used to get put on drive through for 4 or 5 hours at a time, briefly moved somewhere else, and then literally moved right back to drive for the rest of the shift. Sometimes it was because shifts would swap so they didn’t know how long I’d been there, but they didn’t ask. Often times it was one shift leader who really hated me for some reason and it seemed like she only ever wanted me on drive bc she doubted my abilities anywhere else. Idk if it was the cold air that caused it but because you have to be constantly talking on drive my throat would get so sore and it would hurt to speak for the better part of like every shift. I felt like I couldn’t speak up about this because it didn’t seem like anyone else at my store had this problem to the extent that I did and it kinda felt embarrassing somehow. Can anyone else relate?
