Question about when to quit so my trainer can get their bonus for having trained me 🙏 (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Kerrflin
Ok so, I've made up my mind to quit soon, even tho I absolutely love all my co-workers!! I recently got accepted into an internship program and I'm currently working another job that pays me more per hour than SB does so I'm keen on keeping that job. However I want to make sure that my trainer gets their bonus for having trained me.

I was officially hired on June 6th, does Starbucks count that as the official start of the 90 days? Or do they start counting the day after the last day of training? I was thinking of putting my last day as September 7th.

TLDR: If I quit right on the 90 day mark is Starbucks gonna be a jerk about giving the bonus to my trainer?

Context: am a trainer

My SM submits the bonus as soon as training is finished. I don’t think they’d be able to retro-remove it. I’m not sure if that’s standard or not but every time I’ve finished training I’ve gotten the bonus on my next paycheck.

Ok, I just wasn't sure cause I thought it said somewhere that they get the bonus only if the person stays for 90 days. And I was thinking to myself that seemed kinda bs when the trainer is already doing the work. I might just text my trainer then and see if they got the bonus, thanks for the input!

The referral bonus requires them to stay for some time but the trainer bonus is only upon completion of the training!
