I usually get my chime deposit on Wednesdays between 1230-1p est, and it has never been later than 145p. I haven't gotten my deposit today and starting to get worried. I also could be paranoid due to previous jobs messing up pay. If you get your direct deposit via chime, has it shown up yet?

*Update*

I spoke with a payroll manager who did confirm a delay, but also confirmed it will be processed by close of business pst today. I did make them aware of partners recieving overdraft and late fees since people plan on reliable pay regardless of the day. They guaranteed our checks will be here on Friday and are looking into a partner hub communication. Not the result we all wished for, but at least we know not to bother checking our accounts for the rest of the day.

Actually a few months ago "quite a few" partners pay rates could not be updated because of a glitch which they knew about but did not bother to notify anyone about til our DM for involved. So I had called multiple times, my SM called and emailed multiple times then our DM and RM emailed and were told it had been processed but the following 2 paychecks were still at old rate. It was nice to get the back pay (eventually) but it messed me up for a couple of months. I do the squeaky wheel very well but I suspect there were quite a few partners who got left at an old rate of pay and didn't do anything about it.

There was a big earthquake in Seattle one year and some folks' paychecks were delayed because they couldn't enter HQ.

This makes sense and is a valid reason for a delay. From what I’ve seen there is no reason, and if there were a natural disaster at HQ I’m sure we would have heard about it and I’d be more understanding, but my money isn’t something to fuck with. Sorry not sorey

my point is that delays CAN happen in response to the comment above mine.

Also, based on other posts, it sounds like payroll IS on time, but not EARLY (today) as many expected.

That sucks, but if payroll is Friday, count on having it deposited on Friday, even if your bank offers to release funds earlier.

Just got off of PCC and they said everything is in they’re trying to see what’s going on but I have a payment sent in already that’s not showing up at the banks yet. So I’m assuming maybe it’s something between starbucks and the banks themselves whether it be funds not being taken out just yet or something?

I felt bad calling cuz the girl was like “ *sigh* I’ve gotten a lot of a calls about this already I’m really sorry you have to deal with this.” I can tell even she was done with it lol. When you got your own workers sighing you know you fucked up lmao

that’s what they just told me. they tried to tell me it’s my bank and i said no, my bank said everything is fine on their end and then the guy switched up and said that starbucks hasn’t sent the info to the banks basically. i hate giving people a hard time bc i know how it is but also i need to pay my bills this is serious :(

i typically get my check between 10-10:45am every wednesday. it’s 5pm and i still haven’t gotten it. i have $15 in my bank account…that won’t even cover half a tank of gas for the week :/

Im in the same situation. If its not in by tomorrow morning I cant get gas like id hoped to have done on my way home today, which means I cant get to work tomorrow. If they ask why Ill just have to send a picture of my tank below E and a screenshot of my empty bank account.

Then we wouldn't receive our checks on Friday? We get early checks with chime because that's when payroll processes, normal banks take 2 days to process the check deposit. Now I'm concerned I won't have my check until Monday 😔

I called partner resources earlier today because I normally get my deposit by 2pm on wednesday every other week. The person who answered my call immediately asked if I was calling about pay and proceeded to *rudely* explain that we don’t actually get paid until Fridays and it’s up to my bank whether or not we receive it early. But apparently I wasn’t the only one having an issue 🙃 Citizens Bank btw

Yeah, I called and got the same thing, asked for a supervisor, got the same thing, asked for a manager and got a callback from a payroll manager who actually cared and explained there was an unknown delay in processing payroll which usually happens on Tuesday. They said it will be processed today, and everyone will be paid by Friday. I asked them to post a partner hub update and they said they will absolutely try.

Certain banks like chime don't place holds on deposits. Starbucks processes payroll on Tuesday, but banks don't give you your money until it clears on Friday. Chime does not place holds so I normally get paid around 1pm on Wednesday. Also east coast corporate store.

I used to do payroll at my old job and it really concerns me that no one sees their checks as "pending" because that means they weren't submitted on time... And with everyone still not seeing any money pending we have no idea if they've submitted payroll... I know that technically pay day is Friday but in order to be paid on Friday you have to have at least submitted it by Wednesday or Thursday depending on how much you're withdrawing from your account Starbucks is a giant ass company so they probably have to submit it earlier... Submitting it after 4pm can move things over whole business days...

I mean people who usually wait until Friday. Their banks hold it until the funds are actually available. If you get paid on Wednesday, you have a credit union or a special bank that drops the funds as soon as they know the funds are coming. It's concerning that the people who get Friday pay don't have a pending deposit if they normally see that.

I don’t work for Starbucks but I can tell you that I normally receive my paycheck from my employer on Wednesday like clockwork, and it’s an hour late so far.

And it’s not just a chime thing, it’s an “early pay” banking institution thing, which every other time this happened before, it was due to a delay in the universal ACH system @ the treasury.
