After the nightly rinse, do you turn the espresso machine off for the night? I've been told both yes and no.

With both the older and newer machines we have only ran the cleaning cycle and let it enter sleep mode automatically. We have never switched ours off at the end of the night.

The power button on the top technically just puts it to sleep, which should be done every night but doesn’t really matter. The actual power switch under the machine should pretty much always stay on, even overnight .
