Those types of machines produce more than the ones that open on top. Those open basically at floor level. You have to knock the ice down. Lots of people use steaming pitchers to whack it down.

Only those types of machines. Not everyone has those big ones. They are a pain because you have to manually make the ice drop sometimes, hence the dents.
