Working at a Starbucks kiosk in Vons for 1.5 months was hell. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Let me start with the fact that I don't drink Starbucks. I have multiple years in high pace bakeries/cafes, but I don't drink Starbucks and I have never worked at one. I don't know how standard this place was, but daaaaaamn. I have new respect for the Starbucks long termers who ACTUALLY work.

A few things about it.

1) had to tell the employees who had been there YEARS that you absolutely cannot substitute sanitizer for pot and pan detergent in the three sink system. 4 times.

2) same energy, had to tell them that they could not mix extra chemicals into the detergent sink to help make dishes easier to clean.

3) had to correct the person who trained me on multiple drinks, using the book to show them they are wrong.

4) was obviously never properly trained in the first place.

5) we took foodstamps. You ain't lived until you've had an angry tweaker throw a frappuccino at you that they bought with your hard-earned tax money...

6) I worked nights. Morning shift basically never stocked or finished any of their duties, saying they were too busy. If I didn't stay extra to finish mine, they would go out of their way to complain.

7) being alone on a Saturday was a new experience. Line of 10 people at all times throwing drinks out the pass like I'm bartending.

8) there was literally no manager. She went on maternity leave 2 weeks before I started, no replacement.

9) tik tok. Man, screw those wannabe "content creators". You know that some of those "influencers" actually make money out of making life hell for Starbucks baristas?

So yeah. Worst job I've had in my life. I'd rather do Porta potty cleaning again.
