Subbing Esspresso for frap roast? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by awesomechief989
I could be wrong but last I checked you’re allowed to substitute espresso for FRAP roast, can anyone show me the paperwork? I’m aware of decaf and half calf and specifically asking for Sun regular espresso.

There is no where that it specifies regular espresso can be subbed for frap roast, only decaf and half caf. My store lets people do it because we don’t really see a difference but it’s not technically standard

A long long time ago this was a thing. It’s been many years since it was a standard. If someone wants shots not frap roast we charge them now.

Whatever standard is would be in the beverage resource manual. I’m not sure if we can sub regular espresso free of charge (nobody’s ever asked, and I’ve been on leave bc of injury for a couple weeks) so I’d have to check myself.

Just get a creme frappuccino and ask for how ever many add shots you like. Same thing, just ordered correctly, but expensive as hell.
