Pay raise with previous raises? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I've been a barista and a trainer at my store for about 2 years now- when I got hired I was making a few cents more than $11. Since then I got a few more raises, and made about $12.50, prior to the $15 base pay raise. I was assuming since thats just a base pay, I would get the $15 raise and keep my other raises, so basically making $16.50 an hour. However I just printed out my newest paystub and it says I'm only making $15 an hour. I feel like thats not really fair that I make the same wage as a green bean considering I have far more experience. I'm not sure who I would go to if I were to fight this?

I don’t know if there’s anything you can do but I just wanted to say I understand how you feel. For myself I didn’t expect anything more than the new base pay even though I have years of experience working for Sbux. I knew I wouldn’t get anything more bc I left and I’m a recent rehire ssv. It does sting quite a bit that an outside hire ssv who just started a month ago and the one who will be starting next month will all be getting paid the same as me and others who have YEARS of experience. 😞

I was told by my manager that it’s called “compression”. Regionals, district and store managers are experiencing it too. They are training new managers in their position and those people make more than them. I’m in the same boat as you as a partner of 11 years, I now only make 16.50 while everyone else was raised to 15. While a new supervisor (of 2 years~) now makes a whopping 4 dollars more than I do with more hours. It makes me want to be a supervisor again because now it’s a lot more than just a dollar more than barista.
