Weird customs lately (self.starbucksbaristas)

This past week was like something in a sitcom or something. I had two separate ladies on two separate days ask for drinks that confused me and my whole team since they wouldn’t really explain.
1. She wanted a brown sugar shaken but didn’t want it shaken. My dto asked if she wanted it like a latte to confirm, she said yes, then got mad that we made it like a latte. We finally found out after some back and forth she wanted the espresso, ice then milk (which now makes sense to me).
2. She also wanted a brown sugar, but with no espresso. ??? She said she didn’t want any caffeine, so we offered to make it decaf for her but that wasn’t good enough. I don’t remember exactly how it happened but I think she just got it regularly with the espresso lol.
Have y’all had any weird encounters lately?

I had this one lady come in and order an “applied pie frap” and I was like ???
And this other wasn’t weird as much as annoying. This one group of girls, one of them orders a complicated ass refresher. I punch it all in then someone else in the group is like “oh I want the same thing”, in my head im like cool I’ll just 2x it. But nope she wanted to make one more change so I had to repunch it all in lol

someone wanted a trenta iced coffee w/ almond milk blended with chocolate cold foam , xtra caramel drizzle and whip on top,, and this was through mobile,, so i was just confused on how this was going to all fit in one cup.

Did you do a dome lid for the whip? Also I think it’s so bizarre how people want foam and whip??? But I don’t care if either so maybe it’s just me

Last week I had someone order 5 freaking trenta green tea lattes with 5 scoops of vanilla bean powder, vanilla syrup, oat milk, cold foam and light ice. It seems pretty simple but I work at a mall and this was during tax free weekend in the middle of a never ending rush
Today someone ordered a green tea latte with strawberry purée in their cold foam, strawberry inclusions on top and caramel drizzle lining the cup
Another that I remember is a green tea latte with chai and caramel drizzle😭
All of these have to do with the green tea latte only because I love it without any modifications. TASTE THE GRASS DEBORAH

Go touch grass Deborah. Also I didn’t know that matcha could be made in a trenta. Lately some of our customers have been asking for inclusions sitting on top of drinks as well. We’ve been out of strawberry purée for a couple weeks now so thankfully we don’t have to put it in the cold foam

I've been getting a lot of those. I tried the green tea latte with oatmilk and strawberry puree, it tastes like ass. I've had my fair share of weird drinks but they would taste good to me. I think if it was made with coconut milk instead, it would've been alright.
