Dear shift leads… (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by broookeee_
just because you know of a new rule, doesn’t mean you should expect everyone to know it without telling anyone. such as, yelling aloud at me, for everyone in our lobby to hear, “DON’T LET THEM TOUCH THE TIP JAR”
Like, using a vessel for personal cups was new, but now this too— I get it and I understand but we were never made aware of that being a new policy. so, calm the fuck down you ERRATIC being. thank you.

As a shift lead, I'm sorry that happens to you. Sometimes shifts care more about being boss than actually coaching, and it's really shitty

Although nothing excuses that behavior, do the baristas at your store have a history of not reading or fully paying attention to the weekly updates and Now Brewing?

Again, not that anything justifies them being so caustic. But I do know the frustration of your partners not keeping up to date with the WU and NB, when pretty much everything they are like "I didn't know that" about were all in those.

Even my sm n shifts don’t know. I had to tell them sometimes

even another SSV never heard of it— and iirc that was never in the weekly update, otherwise a post it would’ve been put up. we found out about vessel usage via a post it note for us, nothing about not touching tip jars though.

No, the policy about personal cups wasn't in the weekly update. It's in the Fall Now Brewing. But as for the tip jar thing, I think it's in the standing policies, but I'm not 100% certain on that one.

Again, regardless, that shift could have handled the situation better.

Why don’t u ask them to stop yelling n play it off as ure going deaf lol

wait i don't remember anything about tip jars in the wu..: what happened with it?
broookeee_ [OP] 1 points 11m ago
I assume for safety, she said to not let people touch tip jars..? Maybe because everyone touches it but, it inevitably gets touched at the end of the day so im very confused
pettingneos 1 points 11m ago
so weird... hand washing also exists? maybe it was for money handling purposes?
broookeee_ [OP] 1 points 11m ago
